2012-11-02First 100 gigabit port connected to NIX.CZ

Prague 2.11.2012 – The largest peering node in the Czech Republic, NIX.CZ Association, connected yesterday historically first 100 gigabit port in the POP NIX4, CE Colo.

Telefónica company have 2,5 times increased the capacity connected to one of NIX.CZ nodes by connecting this port. The connection was executed smoothly, with no complications. The need of historical first 100 gigabit connection proves the steadily increasing demands by the internet users for the data traffic volumes. NIX.CZ is one of the first companies in the world actively utilizing such technology.
