Adam Golecký from NIX.CZ is a board member of the international association EURO-IX

Sept. 25, 2025

Since this summer, Adam Golecký, director of the national interconnection node NIX.CZ, has been serving on the board of directors of the European Internet Exchange Association (EURO-IX). Adam Golecký was appointed to the organization’s top management for two and a half years, i.e., until the end of 2027. The director of NIX.CZ is the second Czech to serve on the EURO-IX governing body. Ondřej Filip, chairman of the board of NIX.CZ and CEO of CZ.NIC, the Czech national domain administrator, has been its chairman for many years.

“Being elected to such a prestigious position is a reward for my work for the European peering community. I believe that our community projects also contribute to this, such as our international Peering Days conference, the 11th iteration of which was held this year in Split, Croatia, or the meeting of Czech and Slovak network administrators branded as the CSNOG community, which we organize together with our colleagues from the CESNET and CZ.NIC associations,” said Adam Golecký on the occasion of his election.

The mission of EURO-IX is to support the development, reinforcement, and improvement of the Internet Exchange Point (IXP) community. This includes cooperation between individual peering nodes, primarily in Europe, and aims to unify the technical standards used by nodes in joint procedures, for example in the area of statistical evaluation and information activities.
