Ondřej Filip from NIX.CZ was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors of EURO-IX

Ondřej Filip, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Czech peering node, NIX.CZ, was re-elected to the management of the European Internet Exchange Association (EURO-IX) last week. Ondřej Filip will not only be a member of the board for the next two years, but he will also participate in the management of this prestigious international organisation as its chairman.   "I see the election to the Board of Directors of EURO-IX as an award for my work for the community of European peering nodes. I am glad that the members of EURO-IX perceive my work in the leadership of this organization as beneficial and that I can continue my mission at EURO-IX. My goal will be to continue to support activities that will lead to the development of European peering exchanges and the industry as a whole, "said Ondřej Filip about his re-election to the EURO-IX Board of Directors.

The mission of EURO-IX is to support, develop, strengthen and improve the Internet Exchange Point (IXP) community. This involves the coordination of technical standards, development of common procedures, sharing and publishing of statistics and other useful information.
